019. Diagnosis

Explosions aren't that scary unless you are in one. If you're in one, you aren't scared for long because then you are blown to bits or in excruciating pain fear doesn't matter. I've seen Die Hard. Independence Day. I can turn on a TV. Here though, I doubt we'll see footage of what happened with a bunch of talking heads. There are a lot of explosions in this stupid place.

They're annoying and loud around here, not scary.

What is, instead, is the lack of a party assuming responsibility. There is no al Qaeda, no Hezbollah. Even our home grown bad guys are quiet. The least you could do is lie and say you did it, someone wants our attention. Our "government" has been dismantled. You all are the quietest bunch of sheep ever.

There were zero civilian deaths. It's not the work of terrorists.

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
I did it.

It was all my fault. I did it to spark canrage and war and chaos.

There.

Does that make you feel comforted?

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
And the lack of terror speaks for itself. Well, some of us.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
You're the most passionless terrorist leader I've ever seen. Shouldn't there be a flag behind you and shouldn't you have more to say?

[identity profile] no-whore.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
This isn't from someone inside the city. No one here would have the available power to take the 'gods' down.

*video post*

*the picture opens up, showing the Major sitting in front of a red Nazi flag, fluttering slowly behind him*

This is my flag, Dr. House. I would not call us terroists as I would an army, but I can say much, much more, should I so chose.

Would you like to hear our manifesto?

Would you like to hear why we might do what we do?

[identity profile] razrsharp.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I'm wary of both.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I figured as much. It was speculation.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
The deities were Jews?

[identity profile] no-whore.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Do you always 'think out loud'?

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
We aren't free if we're still milling around this place.

[identity profile] freakyfanboy.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
For all we know, this is the deities' form of demolition and they're simply on vacation until their new building goes up.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. It helps get feed back to shoot down.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
They would have told us to shut up by now if that was the case. I know I would.

[identity profile] razrsharp.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
They'll operate in phases I imagine, once the shock from today's events wear off. We have nazis among other degenerates, but we aren't Poland or even Iraq. Not by a long shot.

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
If we did it, we would do it because we could, Dr. House.

We would do it because it was war

[identity profile] no-whore.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Then why want the feedback if it's worthless?

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
That would have cleared up why we didn't have a Hanukkah curse.

They were an okay band. I guess. Well, doughboy. Where's your war? And if you're out to solicit one, taking up issues with people of the medical profession wouldn't be the way to do it. I like the sentiments anyway.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't say it was worthless. Are you familiar with the Socratic method? It's a learning experience for everyone.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
So we're Canada? Wary, armed, but far too friendly for our own good.

[identity profile] freakyfanboy.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good point...and it certainly can't be a natural phenomenon...

[identity profile] razrsharp.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
We only want them to think we're the hat of the United States.

[identity profile] glock30.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
My hero.

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Everywhere, Doctor House. It's just not always visible, because the audience is looking in the wrong direction.

But you asked for a reassurance, someone to claim responsibillity.

I thought I might ease your heart.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2008-01-03 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Just doing my civic duty.

And how did you figure out my secret identity? I spent so many years and so much time...
