[Hey network. Here is Dr. House at his desk in his office. He's looking scruffy as ever. Maybe a bit more haggered now that we really look at him.]

Black and white. Blah blah blah. I want to know exactly what is wrong with this picture.

[He holds a small white bottle the portion of it that isn't covere by his fingers shows labels for the City General Hospital prescription for House, Gregory. With an unnecessary flourish he opens the bottle then tips it upside down. Out tumbles one white pill. Just one.]

I suppose most people haven't seen you get a new prescription filled with a half-full bottle sitting in your pocket.

Do you not have a stash -- or stashes -- hidden here?

Not at the hospital. I haven't headed home yet. [Meaning that he's on his way right now.] That's not the point.

And you haven't developed any more specific suspicions than that?

Someone who is disapproving of how I medicate perhaps? Or someone who doesn't want to bother to get a prescription of their own?

I would think that any of the people who disapprove should know that you're not going to have much trouble getting another prescription to fill.

I think I know better than to think that taking your pills away -- or even managing to stop all your prescriptions from going through -- would actually stop you from getting pills.
