126 Diagnosis

I demand an explaination for this. No. I'm not talking about Claire.

I know that it doesn't make sense. That's a cop out. Everyone says that this place has no logic, but everything makes sense somehow in its way. There's a method or mode that it's exicuted. Is there a quota to be filled? Some kind of a request order for some preestablished critieria for those that stay or go?

'Logic' implies a fixed set of principles. The comings and goings here nearly never hold fast to the same rules, so to speak, so in that manner of thinking, there is no logic-- or maybe just a very twisted version of logic that fluctuates too often and too dramatically to be mapped cleanly. The method is always in flux, as well. There is no set quota, unless the quota is one of curiosity and observation. The criteria are unique to each person. Of course, this is all speculation. Have I answered all of your questions?

No. There's always logic just as there are always principles. If an action keeps reoccurring do we say it is because there is no reason it just happens? If it were a flash in the pan reaction it would be a fluke and it would only happen once under special circumstances.

An interdependence among the cases, no matter how likely, can't be definitively proven. Objectively it would be just as likely to say everyone comes and goes by accident if we didn't know any better. We do know better, mind, but all the same there isn't necessarily any one linking factor between any two manifestations of the same result, even if they aren't completely random. Correlation is very subjective, and the human brain is wired to see patterns everywhere.

If I wanted to google something I would have.

Oh! I don't suppose I will, but thank you for the suggestion. [And she actually sounds 100% sincere about this.]

....I mean the search engine is called google. So now it's being replaced as a verb. There. I just saved you from googling google.

Well, how very kind of you.
