005. Diagnosis

Are they just handing out degrees in medicine in every place but America? Jesus Christ.

She doctor. Ask her about the crystals.

He is a doctor est. 1874 give or take a few years not that it would matter. What a good year for crackerjacks.

Not going to touch this, the latest arrival with a white coat.

Anything else?

You too. I'll spell it out for you: I think she is intelligent but mislead.

[identity profile] watashi-psycho.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose I have known people more difficult to get along with, so no harm done.

I take it you are part of the medical community in these parts?

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. I'm a doctor.

[identity profile] sealedinthunder.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I have read it, and he isn't friends with Satan.

[identity profile] floating-bamboo.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I apologise, I'm a bit tired.

She is mislead? She's one of our world's finest healers and a fukutaichou.
I'm afraid I do not understand, at all. How is she mislead?

[identity profile] scienceinacan.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you're missing a person.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Jeopardy--?

Malpractice is entirely pedestrian here. How about human experimentation? Dabbling in reanimation? False copies of the whole born from a severed finger?

Doctor, please, defend your profession by any and all means necessary.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Missed two for two. I guess that is a good thing.

Is he going with paper because plastic would just be overkill?

[identity profile] number1gal.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I do! Like once a year. I haven't been here that long yet.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi.

How are the toys?

[identity profile] sealedinthunder.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. The bag.

Well. I actually can't explain the bag.

[identity profile] evrythingihave.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess I might have to. You're just too witty for me.

[identity profile] watashi-psycho.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Wonderful! It should prove helpful to compare my notes with people from other time frames. Medical technology has come quite a long way where I come from. Of course, it all really comes down to how well a physician can use these advances, and basic knowledge of the human body.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Human experimentation is conducted with consent of course. Even corpses need to have somebody sign em off. Ever hear of donating your body to science? I wouldn't recommend it if you are religious of anysort. Come the traditional rapture might be a problem.

Where was I?

The Reanimator is one of my favorite films. Entirely ficticious. Fun idea.

Cloning is for sheep.

I hear of people hating doctors but at least they try and be good sports.

I'm a nurse at the hospital, I used to specialize in hospice care back home---but that's not the point.

I've probably seen the strangest doctors in this city, and it's a little scary.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
A healer is a person who merely knows how to manipulate already existant factors. Either your girl is very smart or just that lucky to have all the right circumstances to make miracles.

[identity profile] scienceinacan.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
They're doing well ♥ Whichever toys you may be talking about.

I meant this guy (http://roy-de-epee.livejournal.com).

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks for playing.

You're a doctor too?

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Do they actually do anything productive?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh.

Welcome to the City, Doctor.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Basic knowledge of the human body is extensive and usually the most over looked thing. I see your point but it isn't so simple. It also comes down to the bodies relationship with the outside environment.

...Do you play the organ? Hang out in a sewer?

[identity profile] floating-bamboo.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
...

Ah. Human.

My apologies again - then of course you're sceptic.
Ask her to show you some time, hm?

[identity profile] 10thdiv-haineko.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
... she's has centuries of experience. It's not luck with her.

I'd like to see you do better, sir.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretend you are strangers. You have a pain in your gut, when I say pain I say you can hardly walk on your own. You are sitting in a room practically dressed in a tissue and that guy comes in.

[identity profile] vicodincrutch.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a guy?
