Malpractice is entirely pedestrian here. How about human experimentation? Dabbling in reanimation? False copies of the whole born from a severed finger?

Human experimentation is conducted with consent of course. Even corpses need to have somebody sign em off. Ever hear of donating your body to science? I wouldn't recommend it if you are religious of anysort. Come the traditional rapture might be a problem.
